Options Center for Independent Living has several training classes open to the public. Listed below are the types of classes, dates held and the presenter. Reservations are required for most classes. Special accommodations will be provided at the training classes upon request by calling and requesting the accommodation at least one week in advance.

PERSONAL ASSISTANT TRAINING. In this class learn how to help persons with disabilities in their homes. The first part of the class is taught by Margaret Prosser at Options' Bourbonnais office from 9:00 a.m. to noon.  The second part of the class is taught by Janice Stump, Certified Rehab Registered Nurse at Riverside Medical Center from 1:30 pm. to 3:30 p.m.  Class size is limited to 6 so reservations are required. 815-936-0100 or 815-936-0132 (TTY).

An application must be completed at least one week prior to class session. A $20 deposit is required to hold your place in class which is refunded after the completion of the class.  A copy of your driver's license, social security card, and auto insurance card are also required. Criminal and Sex Offenders background checks are run on all applicants. 

Classes for 2010 will be held on January 28; February 25; March 25; April 22; May 27; June 24; July 22; August 26; September 23; October 28.
